Opportunities to Give
As a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, your contribution to Annandale Health & Community Services may be tax deductible. Please consider the following options as opportunities to give to AHCS.
AHCS Endowment Fund
Establish a legacy for the future.
An Endowment Fund is an opportunity for individuals to help their community through a tax deductible donation. An Endowment fund is similar to a savings account. The income from conservative investments supports the mission of Annandale Health & Community Services. Whether you are considering making a gift now or in the future, the AHCS Endowment Fund offers an excellent opportunity to make a contribution to your community while earning considerable tax benefits. Making a gift in your own name or in the honor or memory of a loved one will leave a lasting legacy and enhance the quality of life in our community.
How Can You Give?
Gifts for Today
Cash – one time or multi-year cash pledges are often fully tax deductible.
Appreciated Securities – by giving stocks or bonds, donors may be able to bypass capital gains taxes and receive a current income tax deduction.
Real Estate – A gift of property can provide federal tax advantages. It can avoid capital gains taxes and provide a current deduction for income tax purposes.
Lifetime Annuities or Trusts – a gift of property or cash can give you a current income tax deduction and you still receive an income return during your lifetime.
Gifts for the Future
Wills – by naming AHCS Endowment Fund as a beneficiary, donors may identify a specific dollar amount or percentage of assets to be donated upon their death. Your attorney can assist you with a will.
Life Insurance – Donors earn tax benefits by naming the AHCS Endowment Fund as the owner of a new or existing policy, or by naming the AHCS Endowment Fund as a policy beneficiary.
Retirement Plan Assets – by naming AHCS Endowment Fund as a beneficiary of a qualified retirement plan, donors retain control and receive lifetime income benefits. The balance of the plan would be distributed to the AHCS Endowment Fund.
All of the above gift alternatives can reduce your taxable estate.
The AHCS Endowment Board is comprised of 6 local individuals representing a broad range of experience. They provide leadership in growing the endowment and distributing grants. Members are appointed by the AHCS Board of Directors.
